INTER LIBRARY LOANS
WHAT IS THE INTER LIBRARY LOAN SERVICE? If you can't find what you're looking for on our shelves, or if you have a particular interest or hobby, you have the option of requesting a loan or article copy from another Northern Territory Library. The Inter Library Loan and Document Delivery service assists all people in accessing books, journal and newspaper articles and any available form of publication held in library collections across Australia and overseas. All document delivery services are subject to copyright legislation. Requests for copies of documents will require submission of a signed copyright declaration form, which is available from the Alyangula Community Library Loans and Services Desk. HOW MUCH DOES IT COST? There is no charge for standard Inter Library Loan service and it is available to all patrons. However, some fees may apply for journal and newspaper articles. HOW QUICKLY WILL I RECEIVE MY REQUEST? Requests for articles and book loans from other Northern Territory libraries may take 3-4 weeks. You will be notified by phone or email of items awaiting collection from the Loans and Services Desk at Alyangula Community Library. WHAT HAPPENS TO OVERDUE INTER LIBRARY LOANS? Failure to return or renew a borrowed item by the due date may result in a fine and/or loss of borrowing privileges. If an item is not returned after receiving an Overdue Notice, the user will be billed for the replacement cost of the item, including a non-refundable administration fee. Sanctions will apply until the debt is cleared. TIPS FOR STUDENTS REQUESTING INTER LIBRARY LOANS FOR SCHOOL RELATED PROJECTS:
