LIBRARY TOURS


ORIENTATION TOURS OF THE LIBRARY

Drop-in Library Tours are available during library hours. These tours provide an introduction and orientation about the Alyangula Community Library services and resources. People are taken on a walk-through of the Library where service points and resources are identified. The tour also includes a demonstration on how to use the online Library Catalogue to effectively locate relevant library resources.

DATABASE CLASSES / WORKSHOPS

Informal classes are a drop-in session and provide a demonstration on how to search the Library Catalogue, Online Resources and the Internet to find reference material. The sessions cover a range of issues including how to choose the best reference books for your topic, search strategies and techniques, tips and troubleshooting and assist people in building skills to effectively access and utilise information from the Internet.
