The Ayers Rock Community Library strives to provide easy access to all its facilities, materials and services for all library customers. The town is serviced by the Ayers Rock Resort Management and has a population of approximately 1,100 residents. Yulara receives many overseas, interstate and local visitors who come to visit ULURU and KATA TJUTA National Park.

The library holds a excellent range of fiction and non-fiction books, DVDs, CDs, Videos and Magazine for all ages and provides internet, Word processing, printing, photocopying and faxing facilities (Fees may apply)

The Yulara Collection is a treasured part of the library, providing members with a large array of books of the ULURU/KATATJUTA region.

JOIN THE LIBRARY

If you live in, Yulara you are eligible to join the library. All you need is a Resident card or Employee card. You can join the library at any time and your card will be activated immediately

  • Membership Benefits
    1. Eligibility to borrow up to 05 items at a time, including: books, videos, DVDs, CDs, and magazines
    2. Free inter-library loans from other Northern Territory libraries
    3. Free Word Processing facilities
    4. Access to a range of online databases through the library web page, including online databases and Encyclopedia etc..
  • Library Rules

The Library has established these rules of conduct to promote a safe, healthy, barrier-free environment. The Library staff shall make every effort to apply these rules in a fair, humane, and positive manner for the benefit of all.

  1. Take care of Library materials. It is important that books and magazines be preserved for everyone to use.Do not remove pages, write in or otherwise deface Library materials
  2. No food or drink is permitted anywhere in the Library and the computer lab
  3. Children under six years of age may not be left unattended in the library. They must be under the direct suprvision of a parent or other adult when in the library
  4. Please tidy up after your children have finished their craftwork. There is a bin provided for rubbish. We have a board to display pictures or of course they can take them home
  5. Patrons may borrow a maximum of 05 items including 02 CDs and 03 Videos. For 14 days
  6. Patrons may borrow a limit of 01 DVD for a 07-days loan period and no renewals
  7. Return all items borrowed from the library, on or before the Due Date
  8. Material can be renewed once, provided that it is not on reserve for another patron
  9. Please return your library card when you are leaving the resort
  10. If you remove a book from the shelf and decided not to check it out, keep it on the table or trolley. The library staff will re shelve the book in its proper place
  11. Borrowers of items shall be held responsible for any loss, damage or disfigurement by writing or other marks and shall be required to pay the full cost of replacing or repairing such items
  12. Members need to present their library card each time they wish to borrow
