About Us
MacArthur River Mine has assisted the development of the area. MacArthur River is well known for its barramundi fishing. The four main groups of Aboriginals in the Borroloola district are the Yanguwa, Mara, Karawa and the Kurdanji. The Borroloola Community Council services the community.
The Borroloola Community Library situated in the Community Government Council Building is for local use. The Library is small but favoured by local children. It contains general current material which includes an Aboriginal Collection.
This is myself (Val) doing the daily statistics of the books that go out each day to library borrowers.
We also have an Broad Band Internet Service available to the public.

About 1200 people in our town and community.
About 40 klms from Borroloola we have the King Ash Bay Fishing Club.
Avaliable are powered sites also unpowered sites. Bar,Kitchen,Shower and Toilets facilities,Service Station,Mini Super Market and Public Boat Ramp.
