About Us

The area has a good school attendance and a school bus which takes the children to and from school. There is also a community bus which takes the aged members of the community to the nurses station, appointments and to buy food in town.

In April 1991 the Elliott District Community Government purchased the Mormon Church for the purpose of the community library. The Library opened a year later in May 1992 and is still operating from there offering a general collection of approximately 1,000 items. Children particularly enjoy using the computer.

Elliott has a lovely 9 hole golf course and there is a nature walk also to enjoy.
Elliott has 4 roadhouses, a post office, Elliott Council Chambers, school, police station, aged care and health clinic.

The internet is available at the library for a fee. We have 4 computers for your personal use, and printers to print information out for you. We have a range of DVD's and video's to borrow. The library has the use of a playstation2 for the adults and children to enjoy playing out of the heat. There is also a dvd/video machine for the children to watch a movie while mum and dad read a book or magazine.

We have a great selection of books ranging from aboriginal, reference, fiction, non-fiction and childrens books.
