LTYENTYE
Formerly known as Santa Teresa Community Library, this is a joint use facility with Ltyentye Apurte Community Education Centre.
Located 80 kms south-east of Alice Springs on the edge of the Simpson desert.

Ltyentye Apurte is the Aboriginal name for the community, which means group of trees. The community is serviced by the Ltyentye Apurte Community Government Council. The Community has a 25 metre pool and the "Club". The Club has a large recreation hall and is a popular place for sport and entertainment.

The library is a joint use library with Ltyentye Apurte Community Education Centre. The collection of 1,000 items consists of books, magazines, videos, cassettes and games. The library is well patronised by the community.


Lytentye Apurte Community has a website constructed during training by OPAI (Online Public Access Initiative) Project trainers at the Ltyentye Apurte Adult Education Centre sponsored by ALIA (Australian Library and Information Association).
