Welcome to Milikapiti Library and Knowledge Centre. Milikapiti is located on the northern coast of Melville Island. It is approximately 105km by air from Darwin. Tiwi Travel has daily flights to Milikapiti from Darwin.

Ngini Tiwi Our Story Database
Local people have been involved in setting up a database called Ngini Tiwi which is held in both Milikapiti and Pirlangimpi libraries. The Ngini Tiwi Our Story database holds photos, movies, sound recordings, documents and objects of significance to the Tiwi community.
The Northern Territory Library is helping to train local community people to set up and manage the database. Donations of information, photos, sound etc towards the Ngini Tiwi database can be directed to
