East Arnhem Collection

The East Arnhem Collection is a local reference collection of resources about East Arnhem Land. Areas covered include Nhulunbuy, Yirrkala, Milingimbi, Ramingining, Galiwinku, Gapuwiyak and Groote Eylandt.

What is included?

The collection aims to reflect the colourful cultural history of East Arnhem Land. Material in the collection includes books, journals, newspapers, pamphlets, posters, maps, cassettes, videotapes, oral histories, photographs, Aboriginal art, reports, community information and ephemera.

Who can use it?

The East Arnhem Collection is available to anyone interested in Northern Territory history. We welcome researchers, school students and visitors to the Northern Territory. As material in the collection is of a valuable nature it may only be used in the library.
