Welcome to Taminmin Community Library
Outside of Taminmin Library
Taminmin Community Library, funded by the Northern Territory Government, is a joint use library administered by the Northern Territory Library and the Northern Territory Department of Employment, Education and Training.

The Library serves the public of the Litchfield Shire and the staff and students of Taminmin High School. It is situated in the High School grounds on Challoner Circuit, Humpty Doo.

What Can You Borrow?
You can borrow a maximum of 10 items. A maximum of 4 Magazines, 2 DVDs and 2 Music CDs may be included in this total. If you wish to view your library record from your own computer, contact the library to arrange access.

Loan Periods
Books, Audiobooks, Large Print - 4 weeks
Magazines, Videos, DVDs, Videos, Music CDs - 1 week
Country Borrowers - 6 weeks for all items (includes postage time)


After Hours Returns
An after hours return chute is located beside the front door to the Library.

Renewing Items
An extension of the loan period can be granted if the item is not required by another borrower. You can renew items on the Web catalogue or by contacting the library. Please request any renewals on or before the due date.

Library members have access to many databases from the library or from their own computer. Contact the library to arrange access. For everyone : Encyclopedias, health and business information, Australian and overseas newspapers, magazines and journals and much more. For school students Your Tutor provides personal interactive tutors to solve any homework problem. For little children, there are Tumble Books, animated talking picture books. Check out the Online Databases

How to Join
Membership is free to Northern Territory residents.
Identification that includes current residential and postal address is required. Children under 18 years of age require the signature and identification of a parent or guardian.
