Our Services

Nurserytime 0-12 months
Songs, stories and movement for baby and you. Nurserytime is held Monday 10.15 - 10.45. FREE booklet and DVD for all new families. Relax afterwards with morning tea.

Storytime 0-5 Years
Free organised activity. Storytime is held at 10.30 - 11.30 on Tuesday and 9.30 - 10.30 on Thursday mornings. Enjoy a cuppa in the aircon, relax, read the newspaper, borrow books
and meet other parents. We all listen to stories, sing songs, learn finger rhymes and dance. Make something special to take home.
 
School Holiday Programs 
Holiday Fun@your library.
Fun activities every day during the school holidays for children of all ages. Phone 8988 1200 for details.
 
Your Tutor 
Online tutoring service for library members from primary year 4 to adult. Chat online to REAL tutors from 3 -8 pm Monday to Friday. Contact the library on 8988 1200 to arrange password access.
 
Adult Internet Lessons 
Individual or small group lessons are available during the week for adults who have little or no experience in using
computers and the Internet. Bookings essential. Phone 8988 1200 for more details.

Home Library Service
If you are housebound we will make regular visits to your home and bring a selection of your choice from our collection of books, magazines, videos, CD's, large print items and spoken word.

Rural Old Timers' Visits
Taminmin Community Library attends the Rural Old Timers' meetings at their hall on Bees Creek Road every second Wednesday. We take a selection of items for loan, including books, magazines, videos, CD's, large print items and spoken word.
 
Country Borrowers' Service
Taminmin Community Library provides a library service for people in remote areas of the Top End. If you live in an area that has no easy, everyday access to a library service we will send out a selection of items on loan. Postage is paid both ways by the Northern Territory Library and Information Service.  Phone (08) 8988 1200 or email for more information.

If our library does not hold a particular item that you require we will either purchase it for you or
access it from another library. Contact the library for details or send a request online. Just go to the Taminmin catalogue, log in, choose your book and then send your request
